SistemQCTM

SistemQC™ is a powerful and informative way to monitor cell including stem cell identity, safety and differentiation staging.  Importantly, SistemQC™ not only gives a succinct read out on the status of the cells but also an insight into the underlying biological effects associated with any change observed. These new service additions will support strategic decision making for cell bioprocesser’s and stem cell researchers/developers at critical QC points within their processes. It provides a much less cumbersome, robust and biologically informative tool to monitor cells. SistemQC™ offers a one-stop platform to assess the functional competence of your cells using a straightforward approach of microRNA profiling to provide a read out of the physiological status of the cells while simultaneously providing a potential insight into the underlying biological effect associated with any changes observed.

Stem Cell quality control
SistemQC™ can be readily used to monitor stem cell identity, pluripotency and differentiation status. Current methods for stem cells analysis are often uninformative in predicting the functionality of the stem cell population being examined. In addition they are time-consuming and expensive. SistemQC™ offers a simplified platform to monitor the maintenance of pluripotentcy across passages or the staging of directed differentiation with the added benefit of understanding the likely biological significance of the microRNA alterations uncovered during the testing process.

Bioprocessing
How do you ensure that a high producer does not drop in synthetic capability over time? This question is often addressed on a case-by-case basis, with individual methods of assessment for each cell line even when the same line is being used for the production of different proteins or peptides. In addition, the proliferation and synthetic capability of cells in culture for biopharmaceutical production is routinely boosted by using undefined components, e.g. protein hydrolysates. The potential for variability that this can produce is a cause of concern both from a regulatory standpoint and in maintaining the reliability of performance for research-grade products. There is a clear unmet need for biologically defined measures that are reliable and provide a tool to monitor cell populations. Sistemic have developed a novel, reliable, universal test that yields both a good indication of cell homogeneity and also insight into underlying biological effects associated with a change in production method. This patented approach provides a simple, robust and cost-effective monitoring tool that will enhance your production QC as well as provide insight into your production methods. SistemQC™ TM is suitable for use in all cells including BHK, CHO, HEK-293, NS0, PER.C6, and hybridomas.
